The Luxury Hamper
Traditional artisanally smoked salmon (400gr) - We love to find people who produce amazing things and we found Spring's recently. Based in the South Downs National Park, they are a true traditional smokery. They hand fillet every side, cure (far longer) using only salt and hang smoke in their brick kilns for over 24hrs using only whole oak logs.
Oscietra caviar (30g) - Laura King is a supplier to many of the same restaurants as us. Her name is a byword for excellence in the world of caviar and we our proud to work with her to bring you this wonderful Oscietra caviar.
Foie Gras de canard entier "mi-cuit" (120g) - Located in the heart of the Landes area in south west France, Phillipe and Isabelle Andignac set up their business in 1991. Their products are superb, and you can find their foie gras in many Michelin star restaurants around the world. The delicate "mi-cuit" we have here should be kept in the fridge and allowed to come to room temperature before serving.
Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Maison Jaffelin - Founded in 1816, the maison Jaffelin house is now considered the smallest of the great houses of Burgundy. The house Jaffelin vinifies and ages his wines in the historic center of Beaune in the prestigious cellars of the Chapter of Our Lady of the twelfth century, maintaining traditional methods. This Blanc de Blancs Crémant de Bourgogne is elaborated only from white grapes, and mainly Chardonnay. Made in the traditional way, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle to obtain more delicate and fine bubbles.
`i am so sad to say that this was rather disappointing. The box arrived wet and damaged and the hamper wasn’t exactly a hamper, it was a tray. The smoked salmon from Springs was presented in a packet that looked like a supermarket purchase. The cremant was delicious and I am sure the foie gras will be. It was all just a bit underwhelming for the price and the delivery was pretty poor for an additional £12.
